A concert benefitting Haiti relief
One minute a choir was singing in Latin and the next an "anointed" man was running up and down our aisles "testifying." At the end of the event one man said, "Now THAT was TRUE diversity." Many described being powerfully moved by a concert that was like no other. There is a longing in the human heart for us all to be together and last Sunday we had a taste of the kind of unity that crosses all kinds of lines. Over $2,000 was collected and many hygiene kits were prepared. Thanks to our Pilgrim Choir, our Youth Band, Griff Rollefson, and especially to Linda Corbitt who pulled it all together for us. Also, thanks to Mike Hammer who has spent hours editing the program to create a wonderful CD of the event; If you would like to order a CD call the church office or make a note in the Friendship Pad on Sunday...just $10 and all of it will go to Haiti relief.
